Obituary of Kathryn Langeland

Kathryn J. Langeland Age 87 Kathryn J. Langeland, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2008. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard Langeland; her son, John Langeland; her sister, Mary Alice Abel; and parents, Levi and Lina Jarrard. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Kingsley Evarts, Montgomery, Tex., Janie and Al Kelsey, Port Crane; one son, Richard Langeland, Owego; and one daughter-in-law, Tricia Langeland, Vestal; eight grandchildren, Kingsley Jr. and Ryan Evarts, Lisa Szymaniak, Rick Langeland, Michael and Stephen Langeland, Meghan and Patrick Kelsey; seven great-grandchildren, Samantha, Joshua, Heather, Michael, Ashley, Anthony and Hunter; her loving sister, Jane Hart, New Hartford; and nephews, Stephen McCorkle, Cold Spring and David Abel, Port Charlotte. Kathryn was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Endicott. A retired employee from Four County Library, an avid reader, wonderful homemaker, and devoted and loving mother, she will be greatly missed. A private burial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, in the spring. There will be no calling hours.
