Obituary of Danny Tomminello
Danny J. Tomminello
Danny J. Tomminello, age 68, passed away at his residence on March 3, 2012. Survived by his wife, Amy Gavula-Tomminello and many dear friends. Danny retired from IBM in Los Angeles, CA and was the President of Corporate Business Solutions USA, lnc. until he stepped down in 2008, but remained as an integral asset to the corporation until his death. Danny was successful in all of his endeavors. He developed a spiritual connection with lslands of Hawaii and he often spent time there with his friends and family. Danny was born in Reseda, CA and developed a strong and unique sense of humor that not only entertained strangers and sustained friends for decades, but allowed him to contribute his own unique touch to his obituary. True to Danny's personal style, he spent his last day on earth laughing and joking with his friends at the Vestal Legion. He loved all his friends from the Vestal Legion, Choconut lnn, Ye Old Wine Cellar and Willy's. He was always an interested observer of politics, particularly with what the process does to its participants. He felt politicians lied and had an overwhelming need to meddle in the private sectors lives. He was amused at what the voters would tolerate in this country. His final wishes were to throw the bums out and don't elect lawyers (though it seems to make little difference). He loved to hear and tell jokes, talk about sports and complain about politics. He had a long love affair with steak, sashimi, wine, and vodka. You always knew what Danny was thinking much to the dismay of his friends. His wife said of Danny, "he was often wrong, but never in doubt". Danny's last word of wisdom was for everyone was to go to the liquor store, buy a good Oregon Pinot Noir, get rip roaring drunk at home with someone you love, because life is short. There will be no funeral services, however all of his friends are asked to gather at his designated barstool at the Vestal Legion to have a drink and wonder, "Danny who?" Joined with his dogs Romeo and Flash, you are finally at peace Dano. We love you. "E pili mau na pomaika 'lia'oe" May blessings be with you forever.
