Obituary of Edgar H Blomquist

Edgar H. Blomquist Vestal: Edgar H. Blomquist, 89, of Vestal, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Helena and Alfred Blomquist; his wife, Phyllis; son, Thor; brothers. Alan and Ralph; sisters, Vera and Haitie. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jane Blomquist of Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Paul Lantz of Vestal; grandchildren, Jason and Eric Lantz of Vestal, Stacey Blomquist of Kansas; step-grandchild, Shaun and wife Angelica Clark of Texas; 3 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Ruth Chapman and Dorothy Kocian, both of Vestal, Janet and Ed Allen of Florida; several nieces and nephews; also many friends that Edgar made over his 85 years. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army and a member of American Legion Post #89 of Vestal. Edgar was known for his kindness and sense of humor, and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main St., Vestal. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday from 12 Noon until service time at 1. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY 13903.
