Obituary of Edith M Rude

Edith M. Rude of Vestal Edith M. Rude, of Vestal, N.Y., went to be with the Lord unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, December 31, 2008. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Fay and Alice (Hart) Beebe; two husbands, Elgie H. Conrad and Howard E. Rude; and four brothers, Philo, Harold, Walter and Ross Beebe. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Jennie Conrad, Berkshire; two grandchildren, Derek Conrad, Shreveport, La. and Cinnamon McLyman, Cortland; five great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Gerald Curkendall, Newark Valley; two sisters-in-law, Louise Beebe, Berkshire and Ruth Beebe, Florida; a stepson, Norman Rude, Binghamton; a stepdaughter-in-law, Anna Mae Rude, Maine; several nieces and nephews; three step-grandchildren, Daniel Rude, Binghamton, Carol Almy, Binghamton and Robert Rude, state of Maine; and very special friends, Rev. John and Nancy Kennedy and family, Philadelphia, Pa. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Vestal and was a retired employee of Grand-Way. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, N.Y. with Rev. David Parsons, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 729 Main St., Vestal, N.Y. 13850.
