Obituary of Ernest O. Dyer

Ernest O. Dyer Ernest O. Dyer, 85 of Endicott passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the James G. Johnston Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his children, Bruce, infant twins and his brother Robert Dyer. He is survived by his daughter, Leslye Jones; sons, Keith (Danielle) Dyer and Kevin Dyer; his grandchildren, Courtney, Joshua and Carly Jones; a brother, William (Lynn) Dyer; a sister, Elizabeth Lingeman; and his wife Marcia Dyer. Ernest was a veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict having served in the US Navy. He was a retired employee of IBM Endicott and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed playing golf and had been an active volunteer at the BC Open for many years serving as the Director of Transportation. The family wishes to say thank you to the many Aides at Hilltop Manor who cared for Ernest, especially Kelly and also a special thank you to Steve and Marie Connolly and John and Dorothy Robble. He truly enjoyed your visits over the years for which we are grateful. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 beginning at 10:00 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott. Graveside Services with full military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell.
