Obituary of MaryAnn Burdette

MaryAnn (Kosta) Burdette MaryAnn Burdette, age 76, of Endwell, passed away on March 3, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, William D. and Mary (Czar) Kosta; brothers, William D. Kosta, Jr. and Michael J. Kosta; and grandchild, Anthony Burdette. She is survived by her children: sons, Bruce (Monica) Burdette, Stoddard, NH, David (Martha) Burdette, Penn Yan, NY; and daughter, Dawn Burdette, Clayton, NY; and by her former husband, Donald Burdette of Diamond Bar, CA. She is also survived by grandchildren, David, Daniel, and James Burdette and Douglas and Franklin Farr, and 5 great-grandchildren; also 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Gary Kuehl, Greene, NY and Susan and Jerry McLain, Vestal; and sister-in-law, Linda Kosta, Apalachin. She had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She lived in Browntown, PA until age 7 and then moved to Greene, NY. She lived and raised her family in the Washington, DC area and returned to live in Endwell in 1978. She was a licensed dental hygienist and worked as a home health care provider for many years. MaryAnn will be remembered for her love of her family, her caring and compassion for others, and her joy in playing bridge and having a good cup of coffee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, at noon at The Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev Timothy Cramer officiating, 1381 Union Center Highway, Endicott. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The American Cancer Society or The United Way.
