Obituary of Ruth D Grannis

Ruth D. Grannis Ruth D. Grannis of Vestal, 98, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Spencer Grannis; her parents, Lettie and Dallas Elliott; her brothers, Edward, Truman and Fred Elliott; sisters, Marguerite King, Leola Jorgenson and Euleta Thornton; step grandchild, Norman Brodeur. She is survived by her son and his wife, Paul and Jeannine Grannis of Las Vegas, NV and her daughter and husband, Joyce and Robert Newton of Vestal, NY; grandchildren, Donald Rossman Jr., Robin Lee Rossman and Christopher Newton; her brother and his wife, Donald and Bonnie Elliott and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved ones. Ruth was a retired employee from the Endicott Johnson Corp. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she worked for many years in the Genealogy Library and other church functions. The Family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice for their loving care of Ruth. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 305 Murray Hill Road, Vestal. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
