Obituary of William Earl Jackson

William E. Jackson William E. Jackson, 84, of Vestal, NY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was born on November 2, 1928 in Elmira NY. He is pre-deceased by his brother Walter Jackson and oldest son David J. Jackson. William is survived by his loving wife, Helena (Sayles); two sons, Stephen T. (Maryann) of Virginia, Thomas W. of Sodus, NY; three daughters Kathleen M. (Raymond) Taylor of Ohio, Nancy A. (Bradley) Miller of Oregon, and Mary E. (Robert) Sherwin of Liverpool, NY. Williams's life was also blessed with nine grandchildren, two nephews, and one great-grandchild on the way. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Air Force. Upon his return, William was a graduate of Harper College with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. William worked for the Endicott Coil Company, progressing through management to become President of the company. William was a very charitable man, being generous to those he encountered in all walks of life. He would always think of his family and others before himself. The Family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home Inc., 765 Main Street Vestal. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 157 Clark Street, Vestal. Burial will be at Vestal Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in Helena's name.
