Obituary of Mabel Beach
Mabel Beachof Bloomington, Minn.
Mabel Beach, 97, went to be with the Lord Jesus on January 16, 2009 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. The last few years of her life, she resided in Bloomington, Minn. Mabel was born on February 26, l9ll to Rennie and Belle Williams in Union Dale, Pa. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mabel was a member and elder of Union Presbyterian Church in Endicott, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Beach; and a sister, Florence Cable. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Frances (Richard) Truex, Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Janet (James) Shannon, Bloomington, Minn.; three grandchildren, Kathleen Jimick, Deborah Goepfrich and Harold Shannon. Mabel was a graduate of Mansfield Teachers College and taught music both in public school and private lessons for several years. She and her husband Harry owned and operated "Beach's Bike Shop" in Endicott, where they were noted for "personal service."The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2l, at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home in Endicott. Funeral Service for Mrs. Beach will be Thursday, January 22, at l0 a.m. at Union Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Main Street, Endicott, N.Y. Rev. Jeff Kellam will officiate in the "celebration of Mabel Beach's life." Burial will be in the Union Dale, Pa. cemetery on Thursday, January 22, at l p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Union Presbyterian Church in Endicott, N.Y.
