Richard (Dick) Albert Decker, 71, of Vestal, NY, went to be with the lord after a brief illness 11/4/2023.
He is predeceased by his mother (Evelyn) and Father (Albert), and his daughter Jackie Decker.
He is survived by his wife Diana Decker, son Mark Decker, 2 sisters Cindy Cawley (Vince), Beverly Decker (Bill), 1 brother Ron (Dottie) Wilkins and many nieces and nephews.
Oh boy, what can we say about Dick. Aside from his family he had a list of friends so long it would be impossible to list them all. If you were a friend of Dick, most likely you were a friend for life. There was a very blurred line to where is family and friends started and ended. He loved them all in his own special way. They will all miss him so much. Dick loved telling all his life's stories, I may have even heard them a million times but it didn't matter, he would tell them anyway. He had a ton of one liners that we all heard a million times but he had two favorites, "27 more and I'm outta here", and "Always remember and never ever forget, we're only here to have fun"! And he did love having fun with his friends and family. He also loved fishing, hunting, his Giants (which gave him gray hair), NASCAR, Golf and sitting on his back porch just sitting quietly watching nature, and feeding his birds.
There will be no service, per his request. There will be celebration of life at a future date. In lieu of flowers make a donation to American Cancer.
